GLOBALFOUNDRIES Sr. Manager, Automotive Systems in Malta, New York

This position has responsibility for GLOBAL FOUNDRIES corporate policies and programs related to automotive readiness. The Senior Manager, Automotive Systems will work with various departments of all GLOBALFOUNDRIES fabrication sites and business units in order to coordinate on key issues and will manage cross-functional teams to solve these issues. The Senior Manager, Automotive Systems will establish and administer programs and guide teams to drive the company’s automotive brand and to improve readiness for the automotive market. The Senior Manager, Automotive Systems will manage and drive standard work through project management tools, working with FAB Quality, Engineering, Operations, IT and others to standardize and improve the overall Quality Systems of GLOBALFOUNDRIES.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Lead a cross-functional team in a matrixed environment to develop and implement processes required to meet automotive customer requirements by inventorying existing systems, assessing gaps and opportunities for improvement and collecting stakeholder and customer feedback.

  • Ensure that the system deliverables needed to deliver diverse technology product families meet/exceed the quality goals and customer requirements.

  • Drive business improvement through the application of automotive best-practices.

  • Work with both internal and third-party suppliers of software solutions to ensure standardization across FABs while meeting the diverse needs of a global organization.

  • Support product qualification and implement effective programs.

  • Lead and project manage key transformation activities and assist in organizational alignment.

  • Set goals, track & drive key performance indicators for entire upstream QA group.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

    Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, Business or related technical discipline

  • Ten years experience in relevant Semiconductor or Electronics domain

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Experience in automotive electronics industry.

  • Strong influence management skills.

  • Working knowledge of IATF-16949 quality systems, SPC & TQM concepts.

  • Working knowledge of ISO-26262.

  • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills.

  • Solid knowledge of project management skills to manage complex projects across multiple disciplines.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization particularly in a global environment and experience in working with external constituencies.

  • Good knowledge of wafer fabrication/integration process.

  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
