Job Summary:

The MRI

Technologists performs examinations according to established protocols set

forth by the medical director. The MRI

Technologists demonstrates an understanding of human cross sectional anatomy,

physiology, pathology and medical terminology. The MRI Technologists maintains

a high degree of accuracy in positioning and imaging technique. The MRI Technologists maintains knowledge

and awareness high magnetic field strength safety. The MRI Technologist will prepare and

administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy and procedure as

well as state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Certifications:

  • Registered with ARRT(R)

  • BLS

  • Requires MRI registry within 2 years of employment

  • KY Radiation Operators certification preferred

Education:

  • Graduate of JRC approved program in RadiologicTechnology

Experience:

  • Prefer (1) year recent experience as a generalradiographer
