The Energy Intern shall be responsible for supporting an ongoing evaluation of operational and maintenance related energy efficiency opportunities at Lincoln University.
This position will involve working alone working alongside Aramark energy engineers and plant operational personnel.
Interest in developing a working knowledge of building systems, i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC/R, and building automation systems.
Interest in developing and apply strategies for improving energy efficiency and lowering costs, such as incorporating new energy-saving technology, minimizing unnecessary energy consumption.
Assist with identifying and evaluating energy efficiency measures, calculate the savings potential of measures, and prepare assessment reports.
Assist with creation of formal documentation, including memorandums, reports, etc., which are routine deliverables produced by the Energy Manager.
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client service.
Ability to work with team to successfully build alliances and influence key decisions makers (on all levels).
Be capable to assist in leveraging the appropriate internal and external resources to implement a Turn Key Solution.
Strong organizational and computer skills are necessary, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
Sophomores, juniors, or seniors majoring in a Science, Engineering or Technical Related Field
Term of the program is the spring 2017 semester
GPA of 3.0 or better
