Charter Communications Major Accounts Executive in LEBANON, Tennessee
JOB SUMMARY This sales position is responsible for selling strategic communication solutions including high-speed data, Internet, video and voice services to enterprise level clientele (large strategic customers) Primary services include WAN, LBI, PRI, VPN and ancillary Services (security, back up, etc.). Achieve revenue and customer goals by developing relationships with prospective clients and maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES /Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience/
Develop and build a named account list of new and existing enterprise level clients. Prospect for new clients within assigned territory and develop new revenue from existing clients by selling new sites and additional services
Develop a long-term, professional relationship with the decision maker of every named account
Develop and present custom solutions to clients. Bundle primary and ancillary services to provide additional value.
Build business case for redundant rings to existing clients. Include new clients along the proposed ring or fiber route. Sell redundancy to existing clients (as well as new clients along the redundant route) when business case meets ROI requirements
Attend regional business expos and technology events to meet with perspective and existing clients and gauge competition
Coordinate with the network sales engineer to create and present proposals that successfully meet our clients communications requirements
Manage the long and complex sales cycle for the customer to close the sale and provide effective business
Work with Major Account Representatives as part of the account team to ensure all aspects of the customer experience are positive. This includes coordinating meetings and handing off non-sales aspects of customer requests to assigned MAR.
Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Major Account Representative to maintain a focus on selling
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to effectively build and manage a named account list of enterprise level clients Ability to communicate orally and in writing in clear and straightforward manner Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to use personal computer and software applications Ability to acquire large business level clients Ability to sell advance business solutions to enterprise level clients Knowledge of basic advertising principles Advanced knowledge of Network "Topologies" SONET, ATM, Ethernet, Frame, ISDN, IMA, and all speeds Knowledge of communications technologies and services (I.E. SBI, commercial video, WAN, LBI, and VPN) Knowledge of marketing research. (e.g. Nielsen Research) Vision ability close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Education Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field, or equivalent experience
Related Work Experience Number Of Years Sales and Major accounts experience 5-7 Telecommunications experience 3
Certifications and/or Licenses Valid driver's license and a good driving record
