Job Description:

Organizational Overview

Enterprise Services is the provider of information technology services to the DST enterprise. Our business is to connect our clients to their customers by automating business processes, providing information for decision making, and providing productivity tools to increase efficiency. This includes the information technology infrastructure and architecture functions, as well as, the global information privacy and security.

Role Overview

Sr. Network Engineers perform complex technical installation of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other devices. This role is specifically to help maintain and grow DST’s network infrastructure that supports critical applications and services that DST provides to its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and operationalize large, complex network infrastructure for DST’s datacenters.

  • Deliver solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in a timely manner across a complex network.

  • Responsible for assessing business or client requirements, providing cost estimates, creating documentation and producing schedules for Network infrastructure installations.

  • Mentor others in peer technical design reviews by providing skilled technical advice in network planning, design, engineering, and architecture.

  • Interface with vendors as technical liaisons to identify and coordinate the purchase of appropriate network or communication-related hardware and software.

  • Provide input into the company’s network strategy for the direction and implementation of future network technology and network-related technical standards.

  • Conduct technical research, perform vendor comparisons, and analyze cost requirements for their recommendations.

  • Performs complex analysis of hardware and software configurations to ensure Audit and Regulatory compliance.

  • Document client proposals that require non-routine, or more technically complex solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years network engineering experience in large datacenter environments

  • 5-7 years routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP

  • 5-7 years with switching technologies (STP, VPC, FabricPath, etc)

  • Ability to understand a complex network with minimum supervision

  • Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco routers/switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco VPN, Bluecat DNS, F5 Load balancing and internet proxies

  • Professional-level Cisco certification (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCVP, CCIE), preferred

  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer support skills

  • Ability to lead others during project installations

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Software-Defined Network (SDN) deployment knowledge (Cisco ACI preferred)

  • 5-7 years experience in Network hardware refresh processes

  • Cisco/Brocade Storage Area Network (SAN) Experience

  • Cisco SIP installation / Support Experience

  • Ability to script in Python, Perl or other Network Automation products

  • Experience in deploying or managing F5 ASM
