POSITION SUMMARY:

This Sr Business Management Analyst role will report to the Business Manager, Core Information Technology Group. Role will support, create, and maintain financial analysis, metrics and total cost of ownership work. Will work across IT channels to understand, generate and distribute operational, financial and functional management reports for the Business Management Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Duties include performing business, financial and investigative data analysis for the generation of senior management level reporting on a

weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, and acting as a liaison between IT and BFO/Finance organizations. Must be able to: provide strong reporting and analytical information management support to leadership teams; synthesize data from multiple sources, analyze for business relevance to provide accurate/precise reporting to drive informed decision making; develop strategic performance metrics and scorecard reporting. Role partners with technology managers to analyze and define key metrics and performance scorecards for each area; lead benchmark and competitive analysis for key metrics.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to:

  • Identify relevant information needed, collect information from a variety of sources, detect and fix any information gaps or flaws in approach.

  • Support business case development efforts (Understand basic principles of run rates, trending, depreciation and capitalization).

  • Produce Monthly, Quarterly, Ad Hoc Reporting Packages and conduct portfolio analysis and provide findings and recommendations.

  • Analyze and interpret complex data and make recommendations based on findings.

  • Enable sound decision making by ensuring that data used in analyses and reporting is reliable and accurate.

  • Balance multiple demands and competing priorities; demonstrate ability to prioritize workload, multi-task ensuring completion.

  • Gain cooperation and commitment to take action from teammates, colleagues, and leadership.

  • Look beyond symptoms to identify causes of problems and potential trends

  • Develop and assist in implementing initiatives on process/workflow improvements and program/policy changes.

  • Develop and proactively communicate recommendations to improve processes.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5-8 years experience in financial business analysis or business data analysis within or supporting IT

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Information Systems

  • Ability to demonstrate (expert) proficiency in Excel including VLookups, pivot tables, and macros

  • Minimum 5 years of advanced use of Microsoft Outlook, Visio, Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, and a highly professional attitude

Desired Skills (Preferred not required):

  • 2 years experience specializing in total cost of ownership or expense allocation.

  • Ability to successfully build value-add relationships.

  • Ability to drive adoption.

  • Ability to work within a highly diverse and virtual team across all aspects of infrastructure services.

  • Broad technical knowledge of server technologies, network, storage, virtualization, databases.
