Director, Pharma Operations - WPSAJob Description
At Walgreens Prime Strategic Alliance (WPSA), the Director, Pharma Operations is responsible for implementing strategy and pharmacy projects, working in collaboration with Prime’s clinical development, strategic projects, professional practice and client engagement teams.
Manage overall business performance, quality, process compliance, problem resolution, team, and personnel development
Collaborate with key business partners on department and company enhancements
Implement enterprise-wide processes and procedures and ensure these process/procedures are being consistently applied
Manage vendor relationships to ensure contractual obligations and performance is maintained
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
7 years related experience in pharmacy operations and/or healthcare operations
5 years leadership experience
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including team leadership, conflict resolution, collaboration, and listening
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects
Strong organizational, analytical, interpretative, and time management skills
Masters’ degree in Business, Operations, or related study
3-5 years combined experience in working with pharma programs within operations and pharma account management
PBM/additional healthcare experience
Superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success of presenting operational and project updates to the senior executive team
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Reports to the Chief Operations Officer
