Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.An Intern with Intel Fabric development team in Hudson MA is a challenging and rewarding experience, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience in design and test of High Performance Computing HPC products. As a member of our Fabric development team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting HPC projects. HPC is being used today to help solve some of the world's most challenging scientific needs, including fusion energy, bio-medical research, physics, as well as traditional engineering such as aeronautic and automotive engineering.The bulk of the work will be focused around the automation of Fabric Building and Testing to ensure high quality product delivery of both small and very large scale HPC and datacenter fabrics. This includes development infrastructure, and build and test automation for fabric software components developed by Hudson software teams. Given the sizes of HPC fabrics and the performance requirements, there are many unique challenges to solve.As a HPC build and test automation software engineering intern, you will work with the HPC SW engineers on below areas:- Implement automation of testing for HPC features.- Identify and implement techniques for creating high stress testing in an automated manner.- identify or develop new tools to stress specific features and capabilitiesJob Description: Design, develop, and debug software development infrastructure create automation build and test scripts for Linux and VxWorks operating systems tests complex software in any field e.g., systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving ability, a desire to learn and general knowledge of HPC software/firmware development and testing methodology.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. Minimum Qualifications: - The candidate must be pursuing a MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any field related. - The candidate must have work authorization in the United States and does not require sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: - 6 months of experience in Python, C/C++, Linux.- Familiar with Git source control tools.
