Application Tooling Business Unit has an opening for a North America Procurement Manager. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for 8 procurement professionals. This position is located at 100 AMP Drive, Harrisburg, PA. This role reports to the Director of Global Operations for Application Tooling.
You will be responsible for the following more specific duties:
Responsible for developing and implementing multi-year strategy for DMS Spend of $20MM
Develop appropriate commodity strategies to support the Business Unit Goals accomplishment
Leads team to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service
Collaborates cross-BU and cross-region for optimal TE leverage
Drive execution on sourcing and new product development initiatives
Drives continuous improvement via TEOA-P throughout the procurement function.
Extends TEOA into the supply base to generate improvement in the extended value stream
Helps drive selection and development of best total cost supply option in region where commodity or service is consumed.
Aligns strategy and execution with cross-functional partners, such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners
Demonstrates a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution)
Assures results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Recommends cost savings proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and supplier evaluation criteria.
Provide leadership to NA team, identify and develop talent pipeline
Requirements: The ideal candidate must have:
- Bachelors level degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
7+ years’ experience in Procurement role
Proven experience in management and leadership skills
SAP Experience preferred
Working knowledge of custom machining, fabricated metal, PBL commodities a plus
Strong interpersonal and people skills.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with global teams, and individuals, not afraid to push for change
Must be extremely organized and able to meet or exceed critical deadlines
Ability for periodic travel required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
