POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Manager, Quality & Process Improvement will manage a team that creates, maintains, and documents tools that improve processes for the Clinical & Benefit Configuration Area. The position will facilitate process improvement activities and document tools, processes and procedures. Manage ad hoc requests as requested by management. Project manager for department projects that impact tools, models and P&Ps. Department lead for P&P development and Corporate Compliance interaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with & manage a team to develop and maintain tools to assist the department in forecasting, analysis, data management and reporting.

  • Develop policy and procedure, process and tool documentation for department that meet department/company standards.

  • Facilitate process improvement & prioritization events and present findings with varying levels of employees and management.

  • Lead initiatives associated with compliance and security in conjunction with Corporate Compliance department and policies.

  • Miscellaneous or Ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

  • Departmental support include maintaining P&P, SharePoint sites, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

•BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field. Master Degree Desirable.

•8-12 years relevant experience. 7+ years experience in business analysis and management with 2-3 years experience developing and managing decision support tools, models, and reports.

•Excellent PC skills including application development experience within a Microsoft Office environment using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. VBA and SQL Server knowledge/experience preferred. PBM or Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not required

•High aptitude for problem solving and analytical thinking. Highly organized, able to work with limited direct supervision, motivated to successfully meet deadlines, attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Ability to communicate and present to various levels of management including Director, Sr. Director and Vice Presidents. Ability to develop P&P documentation and implement process improvements.

The Clinical & Benefit Configuration Area resides within the Client Service organization, as part of Operations. This department is responsible for benefit configuration & maintenance. Benefit setup covers utilization management, formulary, drug plans, pricing, and pharmacy specific coverage. These centralized functions support the client lifecycle throughout the enterprise to help Express Scripts “get it right the first time” to increase client satisfaction and reduce waste and the cost of rework.ABOUT EXPRESS SCRIPTS
