Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer Senior in Fort Worth, Texas

This position will be assigned to the F35 Factory Transition Execution Team and will be assigned to the Capital and Flight Line Team. The candidate should be able to develop, analyze, evaluate and recommend capital equipment and tooling, and related solutions in support of the F-35 production assembly line. Will develop effective concepts for new or improved tools, production aids and capital equipment plus formulate manufacturing plans or facility layouts that maintain consistent product quality. Other tasks include reviewing tooling requirements, developing capital equipment forecasts and coordinating with tooling suppliers regarding design, fabrication and assembly of tools, coordinating improvement activities with Production and Facilities organizations. The candidate should be able to perform technical planning, verification and validation. Occasional travel to Domestic and international tooling or equipment suppliers may be required. Perform periodic shop floor support on tool use and problem resolution by interfacing with production.

Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications Must be an experienced Manufacturing Engineer that has developed and deployed aircraft tooling and equipment in the past. Must have demonstrated professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a changing environment.

Desired skills Desire candidates with demonstrated knowledge related to Manufacturing Engineering activities to include developing tooling plans and factory layouts, understanding manufacturing producibility, formulating manufacturing plans and integrating Capital / Shop Equipment. BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements is a plus. Ability to read engineering blueprints and tool designs. Working knowledge of CATIA V4 and V5. Possess experience giving persuasive presentations. Understanding Lean and Six Sigma Techniques. Strong Excel experience. Possess good communication skills (written and verbal).
