Drew-Marine Production Supervisor-US-ACR in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production employees in the SMT and hand solder cells.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines

  • Study production schedules and estimate employee hour requirements for completion of job assignment

  • Interpret company policies to employees and enforce safety regulations

  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees and assign duties

  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality

  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department

  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist employees in solving work problems; initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals

  • Maintain time and production records

  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials

  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments

  • Perform activities of employees supervised

  • Other duties and tasks may be assigned

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • 5+ years related experience

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints and specifications

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task; must be results driven

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Previous quality management experience a plus

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Physical Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may sometimes be loud.
