Job Description

As a thermal mechanical engineer in the NSG OSE Organization, you will be a part of a team that defines, designs, and manufactures Solid-State Drives SSD for client applications. You will perform SSD and multi-chip package level thermal simulations. Responsibilities will include generating models, analyzing simulation results and providing recommendations for the SSD design. You will be responsible to define and execute product thermal validation and characterization. You will work with system integrators to provide thermal management and throttling parameters under different environmental and operating conditions. You will develop SDD enclosure/heat-sink solutions, and lead thermal path-finding activities to identify innovative thermal solutions for anticipated thermal issues for the future products. To accomplish your deliverables you will use leading CAD packages for model creation SolidWork, Creo/ProE and will analyze your design using CFD tools FloTherm/IcePak and FEA tools SolidWorks, ANSYS, Mechanica


BSME degree with 5+ years industry experience or a master degree with 3+ years industry experienceHave strong knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics and demonstrated capabilities in computer programming system modeling.Proficiency in design tools i.e. SolidWorks, Creo/ProE and analysis tools i.e. FloTherm, IcePak, SolidWorks, Mechanica, ANSYSExperience generating thermal test plans and/or supporting/orchestrating thermal testing and validation. Ability to work with minimal direction and ambiguity to specifics *Good verbal and written communications skills.Package and PCB Mechanical reliability knowledge/experience would be an added benefit.
