The successful applicant will join the Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager providing financial accounting, analysis and support as required. It is a busy and varied role that will give the successful candidate exposure to all aspects of a financial accounting role.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Assist in preparation and consolidation of monthly US GAAP accounts for the group
Assist with quarterly and annual audits
Bank reconciliations for multicurrency accounts and cash flow reporting
Credit card reconciliations
Preparation and reconciliation of inventory
Maintain fixed asset register
Preparation and posting of journals including prepayments and accruals
Provide analysis of costs with detailed variance reporting
Preparation of VAT, RTD and VIES returns
Completing returns for CSO
Contribute to the ongoing development of financial reporting and accounting systems as well as implementation of internal controls
Ad hoc duties to assist the wider finance team
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
Entry level Accountant - Accounting/Finance degree with a view to completing Accounting Technician/Professional Exams
1-3 years experience working within an accounts function
Experienced user of accounting software and excel
Experienced at working in a multi currency reporting environment
Ability to report to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work as a team player
Excellent attention to detail
