Purpose

Under general supervision, processes payroll for the company in a timely and accurate manner, as well as to manage the expense reimbursement process and any other related accounting projects.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Audits and prepares payroll data from time clocks for transmission and generation of payroll checks

  • Verifies data received for accuracy, updates spreadsheets for error correction

  • Update Time and Attendance files to insure GL distribution accuracy

  • Research and communicate payment discrepancies to management and employees

  • Prepare manual check requests when necessary

  • Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments.

  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.

  • Audits and reconciles expense report links for GL accuracy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/Equivalent

Degree Field (s)

2-4 years

Supervisory Experience

  • Familiarity with Payroll and Time and Attendance software, e.g. Ceridian, ADP, PeopleSoft, HPW, DayForce

  • Experience communicating with stakeholders using both effective written and verbal communication.

  • Experience with problem solving, using both analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Intermediate experience of MS office products, including Excel

  • Basic knowledge and experience of payroll policies, practices and systems

  • Experience in reviewing and questioning current processes for future improvements
