This position will be part of the WBS-Data Management Group, which provides the framework and expertise that enables Wholesale to deliver quality information to meet strategic data-related objectives, including risk management, regulatory compliance, and customer relationship management. We do this by managing the Wholesale Data Office, building and operating data management tools and services (e.g., metadata, data quality, issue management, etc.), providing and regulatory business expertise, and working with business and technology partners to deliver integrated data-centric solutions.

This position will manage Wholesale’s data governance function, representing Wholesale on various enterprise data governance initiatives and routines, and leading the Wholesale-wide “formal federation” data governance model. This leader will manage Wholesale’s data policy and standards, run the Wholesale Data Committee and supporting routines, and execute a number of projects intended to improve Wholesale’s data governance capabilities, including many required for risk and regulatory purposes. Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure data management goals, priorities, scope, governance model, implementation, and oversight processes are communicated across Wholesale

  • Ensure that the governance structure aligns with the Wholesale and Corporate data management strategies, with clearly defined governance and roles, including mechanisms to ensure data management adoption and oversight

  • Operate the Wholesale Data Committee, domain sub-committees, and supporting routines

  • Manage Wholesale’s data management policy, standards, and procedures

  • Partner with Line of Business Data Officers, Functional Data Officers, and other key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support implementation of policy, standards and procedures

  • Develop, implement and monitor key data management measures

  • Lead Wholesale Data Governance through audits or regulatory exams

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements./

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: business analysis, analytics, or project management

  • 6+ years of data management experience, data analysis experience, or a combination of both

  • 5+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of financial services experience

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of data integrity management practices and procedures

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements

  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
