The Application Competency Center (ACC) is a newly formed team and is looking for a two Business Systems Consultantsto aid develop, plan, and implement processes, procedures and playbooks that advance the maturity of the ACC Exceptions, Governance, and Reporting program.

The Application Competency Center facilitates the development, implementation and adoption of technology standards by providing governance and proactive oversight of all enterprise applications’ operational activities.These include patch management, vulnerability remediation and Lifecycle Management to support the safety and soundness of the systems that enable Wells Fargo lines of business to help customers succeed financially.

This area requires technical knowledge in application development practices, IT standards and protocols, configuration management practices as well as an understanding of the lifecycle of cyberspace threats, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation.

The two positions will focus on evolving /Governance, Reporting, Exceptions Oversight within the ACC./

The resources will work on Policy exceptions governance reporting for the Application Competency Center; scope of work, over 750 applications. These resources would assist the lead in process development, tracking, and follow-up for vendor software products as it related to policy exceptions. Critical skill set is being well organized and attention to detail.

Critical skillset is excellent communication skills, ability to think on ones feet (critical thinking), and being well organized.

These roles will assist in the enterprise’s success in meeting application patching and vulnerability needs, as well as provide appropriate monitoring and reporting to verify current status.

These analysts will assist the manager with the following activities, either in a direct or an indirect fashion:

  • Defining, planning, developing and implementing/consulting on Safety and Soundness Program and on-going processes with broad cross-technology impact.

  • Managing the vulnerability identification process with the Quayls Vulnerability Remediation (QVR) Program

Managing the patch identification process with the EPP program; Development of business enhancements for the Application Manager Portal (AMP) tool.

The Governance and Reporting strategy for the newly developed Configuration Management Standard

On-going operational processes aimed at maintaining ACC products compliant to policy and standards.

Policy Exceptions Governance and Reporting for ACC aligned products.

On-going product specific large scale efforts to support end-of life remediation efforts (e.g. Java, MSXML, .NET, C++).

Work with CIO teams as well as other Competency Centers to direct, develop, and implement strategic configuration management activities from sunrise to sunset (Introduction of new applications and software, ongoing patching and vulnerability management to removal or decommission).

Accountable to provide thought-leadership to aid in the development of programs that tie to effective and efficient Operational, Governance and Reporting strategies within ACC.

Utilize critical thinking skills to addition to in-depth understanding of organizational goals/priorities and technology to develop executable strategies and plans.

Manage the process and reporting for all ACC aligned patching and vulnerabilities assets owned by the CIO organizations.

Manage the relationships with the other Competency Centers as it relates to patches and vulnerabilities.

Manage the Exception Process for all ACC assets within scope that fail to remediate or maintain according to policy or standard.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience testing policy and procedures/control testing

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Knowledge and understanding of Tableau

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills

  • Experience developing and managing client relationships

  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
