Wells Fargo Lead DevOps Developer (ASE5) in Chandler, Arizona

The Software Lifecycle Technology team in Enterprise Services Technology is seeking a senior-level Application Systems Engineer to work as part of our management team that directs and supports the Enterprise Automated Build and Release toolchains as well as act as a Lead to an offshore development team in India. Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following:

  • Provides expertise, best practices and solutions to highly complex technical and business problems related to automated build and deployment solutions using Wells Fargo Enterprise Technology tools such as GitHub Enterprise, Subversion, Gradle, Maven, Fortify, Enterprise Artifactory, Urbancode Build, Jenkins Enterprise, Urbancode Deploy, Team Foundation Server/Build/Release, AntHill Pro and plugins, tools, systems, databases and/or associated technical products and services;

  • Provides development lead support for offshore development team, including prioritization and clear communication of strategic projects including design and deliverables, ensures strict adherence to SDLC processes, provides technical expertise and acts as an escalation point of issues;

  • Provides escalation support for Level 1 and 2 support teams on complex technical issues involving automated build and deployment processes. Uses diagnostic and other tools to troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems. Works with third party vendors to research and resolve system issues;

  • Assists EIT development teams with tool adoption, processes, data migrations, upgrades, installations and/or configurations of enterprise tools where standard processes may have failed;

  • Updates departmental documentation and procedures as well as provides informal training to other technical support staff of troubleshooting techniques, guidelines, templates and/or test scripts;

  • Tracks changes and performance trends and participates in process improvement activities; understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and monitors changes to identify risk to production systems.

A successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of automated software build and release technology and tools that support the software development lifecycle and will act as an innovative and expert technical resource.

Team Member will be responsible for contributing to efforts in a complex and fast-paced environment supporting multiple applications, technologies and business partners.

As a part of day to day duties, the candidate will be expected to have a high focus on customer service and delivery, conducting themselves in a professional manner with the development, quality assurance, line of business and other support departments in the organization.

  • The candidate will have proven experience successfully executing on multiple projects and applications in a team of varied skills.

  • The candidate will have experience in a technical support role of highly complex, n-tier applications in both Microsoft and open source environments.

  • The candidate will be detail-oriented and well-organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the Technology Manager, other team leads and peers to execute the best solution that addresses the needs of the business.

  • The candidate will work with users to evaluate project and application requirements and implement the most efficient and cost-effective solution per the vision set by the architects, application leads and technology manager.

  • The candidate will be expected to work comfortably in a diverse and virtual environment.

The preferred work locations are Chandler,AZ; Phoenix,AZ ; Charlotte,NC, and Winston Salem,NC. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to these locations with no relocation assistance. Other locations will be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 5+ years of .net experience

  • 3+ years of MS SQL server experience

  • 3+ years of C# experience

  • 3+ years of Java experience

  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience

  • 2+ years of ASP.Net experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 2+ years of SharePoint experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile

  • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): all phases and types of testing

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
