POSITION SUMMARY:

The qualified candidate will join the Special Projects Division’s Financial Management Team as the job of a Business Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your business and financial analysis skills across a wide range of tasks while researching, analyzing and developing new business solutions as well as maintaining current operations. This position is part of a dynamic, fast paced environment and requires a demonstrated “can do” attitude, love of challenges, ability to engage quickly, communicate verbally and in writing, and multitask.

PRIMARY RESPONISIBILITIES:

-Work under close supervision of the estimating manager and with technical staff to develop proposal resource estimates

-Work under close supervision of a senior business manager to ensure efficient, best processes across the division’s Programs. This requires the ability to work as a member of a diverse project team to communicate facts, analyses and processes.

-Work under close supervision of a senior business manager to plan, track and analyze financial data. This requires the ability to apply basic financial concepts to analyze problems of limited complexity.

-Additional responsibilities are typically ad hoc and diverse, across multiple areas of business and finance, including: facilities management; research, analysis and solutions development and implementation for operational business and financial issues; very limited administrative support.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with strong emphasis on analytical skills, plus two years of experience in project control, accounting, finance or business management with demonstrated analytical strengths and problem solving skills.

-Must have demonstrated advanced MS Excel skills.

-Ability to work under close supervision and carry out assignments as a sole performer or as part of a team.

-Ability to work long hours when needed to meet deadlines.

-Ability to obtain a SECRET level clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-MS Access skills are highly desired.

-SharePoint administration skills are highly desired.
