We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development & Marketing Manager Medicare. This position will be a leader in our organization, successfully driving growth within our Individual Medicare market segments.

Beyond the development of innovative strategies, this person will know how to make strategy happen. The position works closely with marketing managers, sales & product teams to develop and implement the plans. It requires interaction with internal and external partners (e.g. brokers, community & care partners). Leadership skills and clear communication of strategies and progress is critical to success.

Accountabilities:

  • Discover: Analyze data relevant to key markets, providing insights into opportunities for Medicare growth. Develop data models to forecast, measure & evaluate growth.

  • Design: Collaborate with sales, product & other internal partners to design business development strategies supporting current & prospective Medicare members.

  • Execute: Work with digital and traditional media teams to develop and execute coordinated cross-channel strategies. Write, edit and format marketing communications for consumer, business-to-business and internal audiences.

  • Monitor: Manage reporting & analytical controls that provide feedback on growth initiatives.

  • Adjust: Be open to change and use performance feedback to revise strategies as needed.

  • Communicate: Provide clear communications to internal and external stakeholders regarding status of growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, generally in Marketing or Business

  • Seven plus years of professional marketing or business development experience, including strategy and plan development

  • Minimum five years’ experience leading Individual Medicare marketing initiatives

  • Experience leveraging customer relationship management (CRM) systems to develop strong and trusted relationship with Medicare prospect & members.

  • Experience developing cross-channel campaigns with strong emphasis on digital

  • Ability to develop campaign data models and provide insights based on analyses of complex data sets.

  • Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.

  • Ability to synthesize and explain complex insurance and financial issues for consumer audience.

  • Excellent verbal communications and listening skills

  • Demonstrated creativity in developing effective communications for consumer, business and internal audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM

  • Eloqua or other marketing automation tools

  • Digital marketing knowledge and passion

  • Broker support

  • Project management skills

  • Web experience
