Supplemental Information

The Technical Architect provides ongoing design, build, and implementation support of the LCTCS Enterprise Applications. This position will serve as the lead technical specialist supporting all enterprise applications, and be technically fluent in operating systems, database systems, and enterprise applications, preferably having specific expertise with the Banner ERP system. The ideal candidate should be thoroughly knowledgeable in all phases of IT Enterprise Applications, with excellent verbal and written skills and be able to work and interact within a team environment working with project managers, business function owners, etc.

Additional Requirements:

A valid Louisiana Driver's License

Proof of motor vehicle insurance

Qualifications

The successful candidate is required to have a minimum of a Master's degree in a related field or 10-15 years related work experience. The following skill sets are required:

  • Mastery level knowledge of Unix, including installation, tuning, maintenance, and enhancement support

  • Mastery level knowledge of Oracle databases, including installation, tuning, maintenance, and enhancement support

  • Mastery level knowledge of enterprise applications' installation, tuning, upgrade/modification, and enhancement processes

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of computer architecture, including hardware and networking.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Banner ERP installation, tuning, upgrade/modification, and enhancement processes.

Job Concepts

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all Banner ERP modules and related applications

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the LCTCS IT staff

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison with IT vendors

  • Establish a technology roadmap for current and future enterprise applications

  • Perform highly complex technical support functions in support of the Banner ERP and related applications.
