Technicolor Compositing Artist in Bangalore, India

• Senior artists are responsible for completion of sequences/complex shots assigned to them by the lead artists within the timeframe given and with the expected quality

• Should be able to oversee and mentor the junior artists working with them accomplish their targets through the course of production

• Senior artists must interact with lead lighters to successfully complete all assigned tasks on time

• Senior artists are expected to actively participate in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures to further streamline the lighting pipeline

• Maintain current versions of files.

• Maintain backup of latest version of files in server & workstation

• Show previous version of the work and clearly represent what the set of comments were, when necessary

• Communicate creative, technical and/or interdepartmental issues appropriately with proper documentation

• Attend necessary departmental and team meetings.

• May be asked to help train new staff.

• Should assist in training new staff

• Responsible to oversee and mentor junior artists in the team and support them to achieve their individual targets

• Should ensure established process is followed, consulting seniors when unsure

• Artist must exhibit exceptional understanding of compositing techniques, lighting, and composition.

• Artist should be proficient with at least one compositing package, preferably After effects, Fusion or Nuke

• Must have good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Demonstrate leadership attributes with respect to mentoring junior artists, delegation and team building

• Should be responsible, pro-active and demonstrates a sense of ownership for the tasks assigned

• Traditional art skills, knowledge in photography are an added advantage

• Exposure to MAYA is a must.
