Job Summary:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Product line managers are responsible for successfully delivering products from definition through volume manufacturing and delivery of committed financial results. The candidate will partner with key functional teams to perform product and portfolio level business/market analysis and use the results to define short and long term product strategies. This includes defining the right product, competitive analysis and positioning, business planning, business case development and approval, management of product line P&L, go-to-market collateral development, and customer and Sales engagement. Furthermore, theoretical revenue is translated into actual demand creation and management. Working closely between the customers, the fab, the field application engineers, sales, enablement, IP, and all product team members to insure fully utilized fab assets, influencing analysis of asset utilization and overall management of decisions on the product line.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Complete product definition

  • Program planning and execution (including design enablement/IP and new product introduction for key alpha customers)

  • Market TAM/SAM analysis with Segment and Strategic Marketing to accurately size the business

  • Define, position and articulate associated product value proposition(s)

  • Competitive benchmarking and scenario analysis

  • Overall program revenue commitment and delivery based upon personal and team business judgement of Marketing, Sales and customer input. Profit commitment based upon standard cost models developed with Manufacturing Operations team.

  • Converting market assessments into actual design win and revenue commitments. Expanding the offerings as necessary to capture new business including IP, device, and enablement offering enhancements.

  • Business case planning, development and analysis, including operational R&D and capital investments, analysis of needed investments, value proposition and cost elements (manufacturing standard costs, technology and IP royalty burdens, etc), and ASP analysis and baselining.

  • Define go-to-market approach and develop associated marketing collateral

  • Asset utilization planning and management (with Manufacturing Operations)

  • Coordination with Design Enablement/TD/fab to plan and execute new product offerings

  • Definition of continuous improvement roadmap related to performance, cost, quality or featuring

  • Develop marketing collateral, sales materials, etc., and manage customer engagements

  • Establish enhancements (PCRs) to stay ahead of competition and optimize product and portfolio business cases

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering,

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Preferred

  • 10 years of semiconductor industry experience

  • Related experience field is desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience of customer interface is a plus

  • Experience with Networking, Consumer, and Mobility customer base is desired

  • A bias toward action, ability to plan effectively and very comfortable working with data

  • Strong ability to use appropriate influence and persuasion skills

  • An appropriate balance of creative “out of the box thinking” and an understanding of tried and true methods

  • Direct experience managing teams and large projects (>$1B LTR)

  • Direct experience in product and program management

  • Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor processes and their enablement

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Technical ability to engage with other senior level technical experts inside the company.

  • Experience with leading edge nodes and technology at 28nm and below

  • Experienced leading in a globally dispersed environment with team members located in multiple locations and an ability to work in a matrixed environment
