The Manager - omnichannel PMO is responsible for ensuring projects and spend are aligned with Delta Corporate strategy, as well as across the Commercial Division and within Global Distribution & Digital Strategy. Partners across Global Distribution & Digital Strategy, including eCommerce and Merchandising, as well as across Marketing and Res and the broader Commercial team, including Loyalty and Revenue Management, as well as IT and Finance. Leads the collection, assessment, and prioritization of all projects within the omnichannel portfolio. Decides the prioritization of interdependencies from other departments, division, and suppliers and resources to meet the project plan. Strategically assigns Global Distribution & Digital Strategy resources and talent that aligns with the length and difficulty of the program. Leads a team to report project progress to senior leaders during all phases of the lifecycle through weekly and monthly reporting, including a program release calendar. Provides regular status reports to stakeholders, sponsors, the enterprise, and others involved in the project. Responsible for the departmental capital planning process. Presents clearly and succinctly to Delta executives and other industry leaders. Builds effective partnerships with key stakeholders across the business and external resources. Leads presentations in a variety of settings and styles to Delta leaders, executives & industry executives. Partners closely with Digital and omnichannel analytics and reporting teams to track project impact on performance, ensures adherence to established project methodologies and standards. Escalates and resolves problems as necessary to ensure awareness and assistance with resolution. Visualizes opportunities for synergy and integration between processes (IT, Change Mgt., etc.) and projects. Corporate team members consisting of cross divisional and divisional sr. project managers, IT partners, leaders and executives. Keeps abreast of industry trends through benchmarking, participation in professional associations, etc. in order to apply latest developments to the customer, etc. Some travel may be required. Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field required plus a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in a corporate function, or an MBA with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Manager in a corporate function. Extensive project management experience required, involving complex, cross-divisional project management. Experience working on technology initiatives is preferred. Leadership experience is preferred. Strong written communication and interpersonal skills are required given cross-department coordination, and candidates should possess a proven ability to communicate effectively with high levels of an organization. Solution-oriented, multi-task capable and have demonstrated the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment. Demonstrates initiative and self-directs work. Possess strong organization and computer skills, sound planning skills, and a proven ability to make sound business decisions. Highly proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are required. Experience with independently preparing compelling power point presentations for use by senior leadership. Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
