The Business Analysis Manager will grow and develop a team of result driven IT professionals who are responsible for analyzing complex business processes and challenges, documenting business requirements in order to ensure delivery of high performing technology solutions and driving positive impact across the organization. The BA manager is a collaborative, strategic and tactical leadership position and provides subject matter expertise to IT and business leadership. The BA manager establishes performance expectations, gold standard practices, artifacts / templates, processes and procedures for the BA team.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Staff, manage, mentor business analyst team by focusing on deliverables and objectives that are collaboratively owned
Ensure BAs have appropriate understanding of business needs, provide clear and accurate definition of requests and documents processes and needs in logical, detailed artifacts
Responsible for ensuring requirements gathering/documentation progress against agreed timelines and plans for assigned projects
Partner with PMO and other cross functional IT leaders in establishing and implementing requirements capture and management methodology and associated governance tools - constantly seeking better processes and more efficient methods
Evaluate resources and budget to ensure financial and operational objectives are met
Develop and manage a flexible staffing model including resource models, vendor management, financial management at the functional and project level
Provide support and/or direction to project and program manager(s) in overcoming hurdles and moving projects forward by proactively mitigating open issues and project risks; maintain consistent communication channels between all vested parties (steering committee, business sponsors, IT stakeholders, project team, etc)
Play a supporting role to help local businesses execute their business strategies; collaborate with business units on their assumptions on how they will successfully execute their plans; analyze business objectives of the stakeholder and develops solutions to their business issues
Build positive, working relationships with business stakeholders, IT team members and executives across the enterprise
Contributes to the development of the department annual plan and budget

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems, and/or 5 -7 years related work experience.
5-7 years’ experience eliciting and documenting requirements, including business requirements, functional requirements & technical requirements.
7+ years of organizational leadership/management experience
Experience working in complex, distributed business preferred
ITIL certification preferred
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Six Sigma, Lean or other TQM certification a plus
- May require up to 25% travel in North America
Possesses capability to motivate and align a team for optimal performance
Sustainability to influence and negotiate business needs while maintaining information technology best practices
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills a must.
Demonstrated ability in the utilization of enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies.
Understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology.
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project and Visio.
Experienced in on-demand collaboration utilizing online meeting and web conferencing applications.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage simultaneous projects and shift priorities based on business needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach; works well in a team.
