Position Summary

The Inventory Control Supervisor manages/reviews overall inventory levels for the Regional Distribution Center (RDC). Manages Inventory Control Department and workload necessary to maintain overall inventory integrity. Supports True Value Warehouse Management System (acronym ADS, Automated Distribution System). Includes training regarding ADS functionality for the RDC associates, supervisors, office personnel and operations management. Utilizes all systems and processes to research, correct, report and document all inventory variances.

Position Description

Responsibilities:

Maintain daily accuracy of RDC inventory. Manage workflow and processes relating to inventory and inventory accuracy. Maintain accuracy on reserve locations, inbound and outbound transactions using various analytical PC based tools.

Manage and supervise workload to complete Perpetual Inventory Cycle Count for each inventory year. Evaluate Cycle Count Data and review, approve and maintain accurate inventory adjustments on a daily basis.

Provide guidance and supervision to several hourly inventory control clerks.

Work closely with Office Manager, Operations Manager, Superintendent, Supervisors to ensure quality, accuracy of daily inventory and inventory related requirements.

Engage in frequent communication with appropriate departments at Retail Support Center to insure accuracy of inventory.

Communicate and engage with Vendors as required to resolve inventory issues.

Position Qualifications

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements: Bachelor s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in the logistics industry.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Proven leadership in a comparable environment.

Capable of working holidays and weekends when operational requirements necessitate.

Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills are a must.

PC skills including proficiency in use of WMS system, MS Access, Word & Excel.
