We are seeking a Group Sales Manager who will be an integral part of the team transforming the current Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter / Dunwoody to a Hilton DoubleTree with a new Atlanta identity.

This will be an extensive multi-million dollar renovation including numerous value enhancement projects that will make it one of the top hotels in Atlanta. The hotel will be closed during the renovation period with a planned reopening in the beginning of 2017. This Perimeter area hotel, just north of downtown Atlanta, is in the heart of the business, shopping, entertainment and medical districts. We are minutes from Perimeter Mall, State Farm, CDC, IRS, FEMA, AT&T, Newell Rubbermaid, Cox Enterprises, General Electric, UPS, Northside Hospital and Peachtree DeKalb Airport.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record of selling to groups in the Atlanta market, at least 2 years of hotel sales experience, has strong interpersonal, communication and sales skills.

Posting Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for selling the hotel, developing sales contacts and performing sales activities in assigned markets. Exempt Sales Managers must spend more than 50% of their time outside directly selling. Must be able to engage customers, analyzes their needs, and creates tailored proposals. Negotiates and closes sales while achieving sales targets. Effectively communicates internally and externally through various methods and across all departments.

Abilities

Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing, Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients. Occasional standing. Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.

Education/Formal Training

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Six months minimum in sales, customer service related position or hotel experience preferred.

General office equipment: computer, typewriter, copier, facsimile, telephone, calculator, etc. .
